塩竈市で育った釣舟富紀子は、地元の古い建物や身近な景色を題材にアクリル画や日本画を描いてきました。本展では、塩竈市近辺の日常の中の、よりローカルで部分的な風景を中心に、新作を含む十数点を展示します。
　絵のモチーフとなった様々な道や階段は、その地域ならではのくらしの工夫、災害への対処、自然との鬩ぎ合いなど、さまざまな要素を持っています。うろついて出会った何気ない風景から想像される街の空気をお楽しみください。
　会期中、釣舟がロゴデザイン等を手掛ける菓子屋ハウフル(塩竈市北浜)による限定コラボデザインの焼菓子を販売します。

Born and based in Miyagi Prefecture's coastal city of Shiogama, painter TSURIFUNE Fukiko creates both acrylic and Nihonga - Japanese-style paintings. Her works highlight the city's historical urban architecture and familiar landscapes that resonate with its residents.

Titled "WANDERING", this exhibition will feature over a dozen new works that highlight fragments of everyday life around her hometown. The various roads and staircases ubiquitously visible across the city serve as motifs for her paintings, representing a range of elements such as the ingenuity of local life, disaster preparedness, and humanity's struggle with nature to name a few.

During the exhibition period, visitors can also purchase limited-edition baked goods that the artist has created in collbaoration with Havfrue/Springworks. A confectionery shop located in the city's Kitahama district near Hon-Shiogama railway station, the artist also handles the shop's branding. Come and experience the beauty of Shiogama city's unique atmosphere through the world of TSURIFUNE's works.

釣舟富紀子・ TSURIFUNE Fukiko

画家。宮城県塩竈市出身・在住。京都精華大学マンガ学部卒業。釣舟は、自身が幼少より慣れ親しむ塩竈や周辺地域の風景を題材に絵画を描いています。情緒あふれる懐かしい風景や現代社会に空想も織り交ぜて描かれたシリーズでは、一見ポップな描写でありながら密やかに潜在的なまちの姿を提示し、日常風景の深層に迫ります。一方、実存する古い建造物や風景を写実的に記録したシリーズは、東日本大震災以降、刻々と移ろう風景を描き残したいという思いを強くし、歴史や風土、自然界の細部を緻密にとらえ、風景に潜む気配をも描き出しています。

Painter. Born and raised in Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture JAPAN. Graduated from the Faculty of Manga at Kyoto Seika University.

TSURIFUNE paints pictures of her hometown of Shiogama and the surrounding areas familiar to her since childhood. In her series depicting emotionally rich and nostalgic landscapes, and weaving fantasy into modern society, her seemingly pop art style subtly reveals the underlying nature of this coastal city and probes into the depths of everyday scenery.

On the other hand, as she records the history of existing old buildings and landscapes in realistic detail, the artist has felt a strong desire to depict and preserve the city's ever-changing landscape since the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake, meticulously capturing the details of history, local culture, and the natural world, and bringing to life even the most subtle atmospheres beneath the scene of daily life.
