画家・渡辺明子による個展「祈りと夢の回廊」では、「祈りの気配をたどる静かな巡礼の旅」をテーマに描いた作品群を展示します。

「この世界は、目に見えるものだけでできているわけではない、と感じる瞬間があります。
祈り、夢、希望、祝福。静かに、けれど確かに存在するものたちが、私たちの心を支えてくれています。 「祈りと夢の回廊」は、遠い時の彼方から続く祈りの気配をたどる、静かな巡礼の旅です。
水辺、森、山の奥深く──　生命の源に触れる風景の中に、遠い過去に誰かが築いた祈りの場の気配が溶け込み、訪れる旅人をそっと包み込みます。 この空間を歩くとき、あなたの心の奥にある祈りと、世界に満ちる祈りが、静かに重なります。見えないけれど確かにあるもの──それが今も私たちを導き、護り、照らしていること、そして、人生という旅の中で、どんな時もあなたは愛の中にいる、それをふたたび思い出す時間となりますように。」（渡辺明子）

Akiko WATANABE's Solo Exhibition, "The Corridor of Prayers and Dreams," takes the visitor into a pilgrimage and a solitary reflection into what may be unseen by the naked eye but can be felt among us -- that of hope, of dreams, blessings. Most especially, that of prayers, present within our hearts.

According to her, this journey follows a path forged by nature since the beginning of time, from waterways to the forests, and deep into the mountains, creating landscapes that touch the source of life, and establishing a presence as a sanctuary of prayer that fills the space of our world and universe. As you walk forward, these streams both begin to converge, quietly overlapping with each other and gently embracing the visitor. It is something invisible, but definitely can be felt. WATANABE hopes that this exhibition reminds us that throughout our own path in life, it is a good chance to remind ourselves that we are surrounded by the power of love, and that there is something invisible that is present, guiding, protecting, and illuminating our own personal journey.

10月18日からビルドスペースにて渡辺明子個展「祈りと夢の回廊」の展示作品を対話形式で鑑賞します。
作品を見て自分が感じたこと、連想したことを言葉にし、ナビゲーター（案内役）と他の参加者と一緒にじっくりと作品を楽しみます。子どもから大人まで楽しめるプログラムです。どうぞお気軽にご参加ください。

An interactive artwork viewing session workshop will be held once during this exhibition. Participants are invited to express their feelings through enjoying looking at the works made by WATANABE. The event is held and shared together alongside other participants, and guided by several Viewing Navigators. People of all ages are invited to join, and is free for all to participate. Reservations not required.

渡辺 明子 / Akiko WATANABE
秋田県出身　仙台市在住
東北芸術工科大学　映像コース卒業
アジア、ヨーロッパ、アメリカを旅した後、仙台でデザイン会社に勤務。
その後、フリーランスのイラストレーター兼デザイナーとして活動しながら、 独学でアクリル画を制作中。

Born in Akita Prefecture. Currently living in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture.

Graduated from the Visual Arts Department at the Tohoku University of Art and Design (TUAD). After traveling throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States, she worked at a design company in Sendai, and then became a freelance illustrator and designer. She has been self-taught in acrylic painting.
