展示紹介 / Exhibition Introduction
宮城県塩竈市である本多工房のアーティストメンバーとその最新の創作活動、そしてその活動を様々なコミュニティに紹介する機会を提供するため、このユニークな共有コラボレーションスペースで制作された彼らの最高傑作を特集した展覧会シリーズ「アーティストショーケース」を開始しました。
工房に関わっているアーティストやその活動内容を知るだけでなく、イベント、美術展、ワークショップ、マイクロレジデンス、共有クリエイティブワークスペースなど、芸術や文化に関連した幅広い活動について学ぶことができます。
本多工房のスタジオメンバーは、塩竈はもとより松島ベイエリア（多賀城市、利府町、七ヶ浜町、松島町）、仙台と深いつながりを持つクリエイティブな人材が集まっています。
様々なバックグラウンドや生活経験を持つスタジオメンバーは、同じクリエイティブ・プロフェッショナルとして、互いにサポートし合い、エンパワーメントを育みながら、活気に満ちたクリエイティブな共有スペースを共に築いています。
作品を展示する現会員および元会員は次のとおりです: 櫻井園子, 佐竹真紀子, sdla/SAT (サット), タカハシシオン, 高野葉子, TOSCANE (トスカーヌ), ミリアム・イワノヴィッチ, 吉田愛美 （50音順）. 彼らのプロフィールや作品についての詳しい情報は展示会場でご覧いただけます。
この展覧会やアーティスト、スタッフとの会話を通して、本多工房が塩竈市のアーティストやコミュニティにとって特別でユニークな場所である理由や理由を理解していただければ幸いです。

As part of providing opportunities to introduce and highlight Honda Kobo (Honda Artist Studio)’s artist members, their recent creative works, and their activities to various communities of interest, we have launched our Artist Showcase, a series of exhibitions that feature the best of their works made in this one-of-a-kind shared collaborative space.
Aside from learning about the the artists involved at Honda Kobo and what they do, visitors can get to learn more about the wide range of art and culture-related activities possible, such as holding events, art exhibitions, workshops, microresidencies, shared creative workspaces, and more.
Our artist members are young, diverse, dynamic, international, and interdisciplinary. Our roster of creative talent are all based in Miyagi, and have deep connections to Shiogama, its surrounding areas in the Matsushima Bay Area (Tagajo, Rifu, Shichigahama, and Matsushima), as well as Sendai city. Coming from various backgrounds and lived experiences, our Studio Members together build a vibrant and lively shared creative space that fosters support and empowerment for one another, as fellow creative professionals.
Current and former members exhibitng their work include: (in Alphabetical Order with surname first or stated otherwise): Miriam IWANOWITSCH, SAKURAI Sonoko, SATAKE Makiko, sdla/SAT, TAKAHASHI Shion, TAKANO Yoko, TOSCANE, and YOSHIDA Ami. More information about their profile and works can be found throughout the exhibition space.
We hope that through this exhibition and talking to our artists and staff, you can discover how and why Honda Kobo a special and unique place for artists and the community here in Shiogama.

Please note that the Birdo Space Gallery will be closed during this exhibition. Visitors are advised to proceed to Artist Studio Honda Kobo.
In addition, vehicle parking is not available, so please plan accordingly.
