豊里小中の子どもたちがやってきて「アート活動」をします。それを通して、学校外の場所でも他者や社会と温かくつながる体験をすることを目的としています。

私たちはアート小中で子どもたちが制作した作品を、子どもたちの分身のようなものだと捉えています。それが子どもたちが暮らす町を離れ、展示されるという一連の動きは、子どもたちが作品を通して、社会や他者へとつながる体験につながるのではないかと考えています。

また、来場者のみなさまには、子どもたちが表現を通して学校外の場所で他者とつながるアート小中の取り組で体験的に知っていただける機会になると考えています。

Connecting youth and the community together through creating and appreciating art, the "Toyosato Art Elementary and Junior High School" is a spin-off learning and creation space for youth located within Toyosato Elementary School in Miyagi Prefecture's Tome City. Students and youth from this school come visit to produce a variety of creative works, and with the end goal of experiencing a sense of connection and community with fellow students and their world in and out of the school realms and into society through art.

Through the works created by these students, we see them as something like their alter ego that is shared with the public. Through the means of showcasing their works in an exhibition space gives them a chance to express their alternate selves. These alter ego creations - what they want to portray themselves as they are and as they want to be - lead to build a sense of connection and communication with the outside world, gaining the confidence and empowerment to build dialogue with the public, and consequently forging the next generation of the community they will live in.

Come walk in and not only experience seeing their works, but also making your own art in this interactive space, and engage in conversations together with both youth creators and appreciators alike.

食をなかだちに、さまざまな人が集う場として、2021 年から気仙沼や塩釜、多賀城などで開催されてきた「つながるアジアカフェ」
会期中 TobiLala主催で開催します。

集い「アート小中って、どんなところ？」
「豊里アート小中学校」が行っている取り組みについて、具体的な取り組みを報告しつつ、どう位置付け、他ではどう活用でき、連携できるのか、ざっくばらんに思いを共有する集いの場を開きます

OPEN ART SCHOOL VISITS: Not only can you see the artwork created by the participants, but anyone can also experience the art elementary and junior high school experience by drawing and chatting with visitors and members on-site.

Tsunagaru Asia Cafe
Having been held in Shiogama, Tagajo, and other locations across Miyagi Prefecture, the Tsunagaru Asia Cafe continues to provide a space of all cultural backgrounds to gather and connect through food. This event will be hosted by TobiLala on this day.

[Saturday 14 March・ 13:00-15:00]
This gathering will provide an open forum to introduce and discuss initiatives being undertaken by Toyosato Art Elementary and Junior High School, including specific reports on how the school is positioned, how it can benefit various communities, and invite interested parties for potential collaborations.
