カナダ出身仙台在住アーティスト、キャサリン・スペンサーによるワークショップとインスタレーション展示。ワークショップでは、スペンサーが用意した特定の匂いから連想するイメージを、参加者は色で表現します。インスタレーションでは、参加者により選ばれた色が展示され、さらに来場者が新たにアイディアを付け加えていきます。地域性や文化性を体感できる機会です。どんな匂いが、あなたの記憶に色づいているか、ぜひ試してみてください。 To conduct a social experiment that compares individual thoughts and memories among community members by initiating a conversation on the identity of a specific smell. The project will be divided into two parts, a workshop and an installation. A specific smell will be chosen from the surrounding community and presented to workshop participants where they will be asked to discuss and identify the smell by assigning it a colour. Colours will be chosen from the workshop and placed into the installation where visitors to the gallery can view the responses from the workshop and vote on a opinion they agree with the most. The option to respond to past opinions gives a new platform to further expand the discssion on the identy of the smell.
